Birkin Philodendron

Philodendron ‘birkin’ almost looks like it’s dressed to go out on the town in its pinstriped attire. This much sought after variety of philodendron is easy care and very pretty to look at. Like most other philodendrons, they prefer bright indirect light and moderately moist soil. They can be prone to root rot if watered too frequently without drying out between waterings. As with all plants in the araceae family, they are somewhat toxic to pets and people. The oxalate crystals in all parts of the plant are insoluble and can cause gi irritation if chewed or swallowed.
